About Us
James Lemke
I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). I spent 4 years at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD where I earned my bachelors degree in Wellness Management and also played collegiate football while at BHSU. I was born and raised right here in Hartford, SD where I won or was a part of 9 state championship titles in football, wrestling and track.
Health and fitness have always played a large role in my life and that is why being a personal trainer is about the only thing I have ever wanted to do. The experiences I have had have given me an expertise in nutrition, fitness and overall health. The passion to serve and improve the quality of life of others is a great motivator.
I started out doing an internship with a gym in Sioux Falls while still in school before being offered a job with them after my graduation from college. I spent three years learning from some of the best in this industry before the opportunity arose for me to start my own business which started April 1, 2012.

I am a fitness model, competitor and self-taught life coach. I got started in the fitness industry in the beginning of 2012. I continue to be successful in achieving my goals as I grow in my education and professional fitness experience. In September of 2012, I won my very first regional NPC bikini competition, taking the short class first place. My first national NPC show, I placed just third in my height class and aimed for higher fitness goals. In January of 2013, I joined the Perfectly Prepared Team out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. With a fitness coach and team my goals were to compete at a higher level. In April I placed third in my height class in my very first regional natural show. In May I had my sights set on a Natural Pro Qualifying show in Minneapolis. This show had over 220 competitors. By placing first in my height class and winning the overall bikini division I was crowned Miss Natural Minnesota 2013 and earned my NANBF Professional title.
As someone who excels at goal setting and accomplishing, I have had many challenges along my fitness journey and these accomplishments have not always come easy. Too compete in my very first competition; I had to lose more than fifty pounds on my 5'4" frame! I was able to do this and since have grown my Facebook following to over 1200 guests by sharing my fitness journey. I have been featured in Natural International Magazine and various local magazine articles.
I am a sponsored athlete with Eat The Bear, a health and wellness supplement company and want to use that as a platform to inspire and reach others on a national and international level. I hope to inspire others through fitness, goal preparation and achievement.

I became a Certified Zumba Instructor in 2013. When I first started Zumba, my goal was to lose my "baby fat" and to try to get to the shape I was before I had kids. I absolutely fell in love with it! I've tried many different kinds of workouts in the past, nothing ever kept my attention for very long. In Zumba class it's fun to learn new dances and on a stressful day, it's a huge stress release to go in and listen to some upbeat music and just throw attitude around! To date I have lost 35 pounds and kept it off! Not only have I lost weight, but I toned up and changed the shape of my body. I look forward to class, not dread it or feel that I "have to go". It's affordable, fun and a great workout! For more information, check out my
Facebook Page.
My husband and I have lived in Hartford since 2004, and we have two beautiful children that keep us very busy. In addition to that I am also a pharmacy technician and co-leader for my daughters girl scout troop.

I am a 200 RYT Certified Yoga Instructor. Exercise has always been a good way to release stress for me, but working out can be hard on my body. I have struggled with knee and joint pain through the years, particularly since 2006 when I had knee surgery. I still made myself workout and lift weights regularly but my body would get fatigued easily. I then got convinced to try a yoga class, my knee felt amazing and my joints didn't ache! Ever since I have fallen in love with it! Yoga has become such a humongous passion of mine and I couldn't see myself without yoga. I want to share that with other people. Life still gets stressful, but I am better able to cope with it thanks to yoga. Yoga is such a relief and release for me. My resting heart rate is so much lower, and I can breathe through stressful situations. My outlook on life is so much more positive to. Yoga is a lifestyle, not just a fitness class for me.
